Shibari (or Kinbaku) is a japanese form of bondage that includes not only sensual, but technical, artistic and philosophical aspects.

My approach to ropes certainly draws a lot from bodywork, performance/acting/contact improvisation as well as from my energetic approach to sensuality, polarity and powerrelation.

When it comes to installations/design, I am a fan of colorful, glooming trans-media projects. I am always open to work with/in performers, photographers, filmmakers, visual artists, clubs, festivals ec. for creative projects.

General thoughts and what you might learn (and not learn) in my trainings and workshops

Rope is a tool of communication.
- You can´t communicate/embody something with it that you don´t authentically find in yourself.
- You can´t communicate about something in depth in which either you, your partner or both of you are not interested or passionate to talk about together. It takes two to dance 😉
Being non-responsive/energetically unavailable in or on ropes is either boring, dangerous – or a specific game between 2 experienced players who know each other pretty well. Learning how to make yourself available (and readable) for you partner is a very important key skill!!
The “stronger” your game, the better your non-verbal communication (breath, sound, body language, ..) has to be (and the better you have to know yourself, boundaries, desires, triggers, ec.)
Be aware that leading with ropes makes you just as – or even more – vulnerable than being in ropes. Showing intimate ideas, desires, ec. is always vulnerable 😉
